A guide to the CPC Constitution

The CPC Constitution provides the Communist Party of China’s own account of its principles, organisation and political responsibilities. The guide introduces the document as a source for understanding China’s development path and the Party’s role.

Questions for research

Describe the relevant Chinese policy in its actual institutional setting. Identify the organisation, finance, technical capabilities and conditions that help explain its results. Compare several sources where a causal claim is important. The purpose is to understand how an advantage is produced and which aspects are relevant to a Swiss problem.

Application within Swiss institutions

Name the authority able to act, the existing institution involved and the proposed change. Set out resources, staffing, financing and the relationship to other policies. Consider the costs of transition and maintenance. Explain why the proposal fits the identified problem and what practical alternatives were considered.
