Join the Party

Joining the PCP means agreeing with its political programme and taking part in shared work according to your circumstances. Read the programme and organisational rules before making a request. Membership includes discussion, study and the opportunity to contribute to policy and practical tasks. A request is examined before a membership decision is communicated.

Read before applying

The programme explains the Party’s political position, support for China’s development path and proposals for Switzerland. The statutes describe members’ rights, responsibilities and the procedures through which common work is organised. The political principles provide a shorter statement of the same orientation.

Making a request

Use the membership request to introduce yourself and explain your interest. State how you prefer to be contacted and any relevant field of work or study you wish to discuss. A short account is sufficient for the first contact. The membership contact can clarify questions about participation, responsibilities and the subsequent procedure.

Participation in practice

Members can contribute to political discussion, study, policy research, translation, editing and practical work. Responsibilities should fit both the task and the person’s available time. A particular skill is useful, but careful reading, reliable follow-through and the ability to work with others also matter.
