Participation as a member

Participation involves reading the programme, examining proposals and sharing useful experience. Discussion should help clarify a question and improve a measure. Members can contribute sources, explain a practical difficulty or propose a different course of action. Responsibilities should include the material and time needed to carry them out.

Rights of members

Members may take part in political discussion, submit proposals, seek explanations of decisions and receive the information required for their participation. They may express disagreement through the Party’s discussion procedures and request a review of a decision affecting them. Responsibilities and eligibility for internal decisions follow the applicable organisational rules.

Responsibilities of members

Members contribute to shared work according to their circumstances, respect the rights of other participants and handle confidential information responsibly. A person speaking in a personal capacity distinguishes that position from a Party statement. Any membership contribution is governed by the schedule approved by the competent body.

Questions about participation

Use the membership contact for questions about your participation, information held about you or a decision affecting you. A request for clarification should identify the subject and the explanation sought. The organisational rules describe the relevant rights and review procedures.
